New look for relaunched magazine

Accounting and Business, the global magazine for business and finance professionals, has been relaunched with a new look and improved editorial structure.

It is published 10 times a year by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and has a circulation of 122,000.

The changes have been led by Accounting and Business’s new editor, Chris Quick, who said: “Editorially, we are aiming to make the magazine more useful and relevant to readers. The emphasis is on intelligent, insightful writing.

“There is also greater focus on people, with more interviews and case studies - both short and long - as well as new sections dedicated to practitioners, accountants working in business, smaller firms, the public sector and financial services. The magazine is retaining its more heavyweight technical content, along with its focus on helping members with their Continuing Professional Development.”

Chris continued: “'We want to create the best possible magazine for finance professionals. The economic climate means many are facing significant challenges and the provision of relevant, good quality, well-presented information has never been more important.”

The magazine now has a dedicated versions for the UK and for the Asia Pacific region, with further regionalisation of the magazine planned for 2009.

Another aim of the relaunch is to increase advertising revenue from the magazine.
